Job Opportunity - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Virginia
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Central Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week or three 12-13 hour shifts plus one rotating Saturday per month; no call required; weekly availability required
Highlights:
- 13-week contract with extension options available
- Level 1 trauma center with 600+ beds serving patients age 13 through end of life
- Practice across multiple settings including main OR (33 rooms), outpatient surgery center (12 rooms), endoscopy center, and 16 offsite anesthesia locations
- Collaborative team environment with 60 CRNAs, 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 anesthesia residents
- Epic EMR system in use
- Full scope CRNA practice excluding open heart/thoracic, pediatrics under age 13, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks
Requirements:
- Active Virginia CRNA license or ability to obtain
- Board Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience required
- One year of Academic Medical Center or Level 1 trauma center experience required
- Experience working with ASA 3+ patients preferred
- Academic background and level 1 or 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications through AHA (must be valid for contract duration)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no exemptions available)
- Must reside 50+ miles from facility location
- Two professional references required with application
- All time-off requests must be submitted upfront; requests exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during summer months
- Minimum 30-day credentialing timeframe
